On the north platform of the Tg-Jiu city, was founded in 1975, the Technical Rubber Items and Reclaimed Rubber Industrial Unit, starting mainly with the production of reclaimed rubber.

Every year registered a wide diversification of the range of products and economical increase.

In 1990, together with the constitution of Commercial Society “ARTEGO S.A.” the technical items received the mark ARTEGO.

Now in the departments equipped with modern installations from Germany, France, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and of Romanian origin, where work approximatively 2000 employees, can be made over 2000 items from the tiny “O” rings to the conveyor belts of mining, exploitation, year 2004 being a top reference point of the quantitative level, qualitative level and value level of the realized production

• The latest accomplishments are : Chevron belts, belts with width more then 2000 mm up to 2250 mm for steel cord and 2500 mm for textile insertion , belts resistant to temperature, food grade carpets, technical plates and carpets with models, much of this were made for the first time in Romania and are protected with patterns.

• As a recognition of the quality of our products trade mark "ARTEGO", the export demands rise from year to year. We are exporting to Italy, SUA, Israel, England, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Holland, France, Finland, Spain conveyor belts, technical plates, carpets and gaskets.
